Discover Shona O’Brien Interior Design

For more than three decades I have had the privilege of working alongside homeowners, architects, builders, and skilled craftspeople to create homes that are deeply personal to them, thoughtful and timeless by design. My approach is founded on the belief that exceptional interiors are never simply assembled—they are carefully composed through a considered understanding of architecture, proportion, light, materials and the way people genuinely live within their spaces. 

Every project begins with listening. I take the time to understand how my clients live, what inspires them, and what they want their home to provide for them and their families. My role is to help realise their vision—not impose my own. Rather than designing to trends, I focus on creating enduring interiors that are authentic to both the architecture and the people who live within it. The result is a home that feels welcoming, functional and quietly luxurious.

Shona’s Selections Studio, Bowral

My Selections Studio is a private, appointment-only space located at Shop 5, 18 Station Street, Bowral, designed to make the process of selecting finishes feel calm, considered and inspiring. I invite clients to sit down with me, explore curated samples, and talk through ideas in a relaxed environment where decisions can be made with confidence and clarity.
